Education

ModularUK has a proven track record in the provision of modular buildings for the education sector and we work directly with LEAs, architects, main contractors, or direct for clients. Both temporary and permanent options are available and we employ the most stringent standards across the range to provide extended lifespan.

1. St Andrew’s School, Colchester

Architect designed, its contemporary styling has been achieved through the use of a specialist exterior finish (Kingspan’s ‘Optimo’ composite panels with a pvf2 finish), extensive glazing and a mono-pitch roof, which is replicated internally in the ceiling of the spacious open-plan area. Although designed as a permanent structure, the modules are fully relocateable and constructed to be as future proof as possible.

2. Sure Start Nursery, Luton

This is just one of a number of pre school nursery and crèche projects recently carried out by ModularUK. This particular example houses a training area for nursery staff and features external cedar cladding with distinctive livery to meet client specifications.

3. Bishop Challoner School, Tower Hamlets, London

This 3 storey temporary building comprises 168 modules housing a 15m span sports hall, science labs, classrooms, WC and changing rooms, offices and staff facilities. Built to a very tight schedule the units were all delivered and installed during the summer break. The quality of build has proved so robust that it is planned to reconfigure the layout and relocate it to another school site where additional accommodation is now needed.
